Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, A Light Or A Blight?
This is the third part of a three-part series where I look at new Freshmen Legislators who have come to Congress, their ideology and their effect on this nation. We have looked at two Islamic newcomers, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, to Muslim woman, one from Minnesota and one from Michigan, rabidly anti-Semitic, who share a hatred of Israel, but what about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, how is she tied in with these women?
The first thing you look at is their stance, each one has called for the radical transformation of this nation, Rashida has openly supported radical Islamist that have publicly called for the destruction of the US, who openly support terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, and both are members of CAIR, an Islamic organization with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, who were indicted for support of terror until Obama’s administration halted the case.
The third leg in the trio is Ocaso-Cortez, she like Rashida share a common bond, they are both parts of the Socialist Party of America, both openly support pushing this country into a more socialistic trajectory, and like most socialist, they have wonderful idea, but ask for details on how they will implement this, they like their mentor, Sanders, have no clue how to do this.
The problem I have with Ocaso-Cortez is not the ideology she is presenting, you have millions of these floating around Washington DC, it is the fact that she is given a platform to present this to the American people, this in turn is giving her a large following, but like many, she makes great speeches, but ask for substance, like how to implement her ideals, she draws a blank.
No place has this been better shown
One finds her lack of knowledge on the Israeli-Palestinian issue rather shocking, you have to wonder why she even bothered answering the question, why not say you are not well versed in that subject but you will make sure you now will be in a hurry.
But nothing showed her total lack of awareness of how to put in place her programs then when she was on CNN, with a supportive newscaster, she could not even give a good answer of how to pay for these programs, rather than say she is not sure at this time, she went into a classic speech to try to take the conversation off topic.
What is the most frightening of this is you have a politician that basically won a Congressional seat with just a little over 5,000 votes, she won the general election in a mostly blue district easily, but it is not like she won overwhelmingly, yet the press is lifting her up as the future of the party.
What is worse for the Democrats, I think the GOP is loving this, with people \
I am no fan of Ocasio-Cortez, but I am fond of what she is doing, she is like the gift that keeps giving, she opens her mouth, turns off half the old time Democrats and independents, in the end it comes to whom has the best message, she, who has no clue how to accomplish what she wants, or Trump and the GOP who has presented such a plan.
