It Is Time To Stand Up For The Kurdish People

The hypocrisy of the world is there for all to see with the Kurdish move for freedom. We have for years heard the Muslim world, the EU, NATO, the US along with the rest of the nations, including in the UN, put pressure on one nation to give independence to a people who claim they have hereditary rights to the land, the Palestinians, but because they are not dealing with Israel and the Jews, instead are with Arabs dealing with a people who since the breakup of the Ottoman empire have looked and fought oppression, being gassed, mass murders, along with political oppression know the only way to truly have some type of security is to have a home again, yet the same Arab states screaming the loudest over Israel and the Palestinian issue are the first to vocalize their disapproval of another doing this. What is more, they are now claiming the Kurds are Jewish, saying they will not have another Jewish state in their midst.

What is more, you now have hard-line Shiite militias threatening to expel all Kurds from their ancestral land, guess if they are not willing to be subjected then they should be tossed out, one must wonder, how would these same people react if Israel did the same with the Arabs in the West Bank?

The Kurdish people are a proud people, as an American I know that they have fought on the side of the Americans against ISIS, has stood against Iranian encroachment, if anything the US should be following the lead of Israel in this situation, honor the loyalty to the US these people have shown by support their ideals of a nation where they can live in peace and safety!

Iranian forces and militia’s loyal to them threatening military actions as well. I need to ask, when you have a free-spirited people in the Middle East longing for a free democratic society, do we turn our backs on them, throw them to the more radical regimes just to keep the peace? Sadly, it seems instead of supporting freedom we are once more held down by the dictations of Turkey and the threats of blowing a fight for freedom into a genocide against a people who only dared to hope for freedom.
