Trump recognizes Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel

In a move that was exected President Trump announced that the US recognizes the capital of Israel is Jerusalem, thus upending 70 years of American policy and possibly setting the Middle East in a day of outrage. The Embassy will also be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as soon as possible.

As was expected on Monday when the day came and passed, when Trump did not sign the six-month deferral, something every president has done since Clinton after the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act was passed as US law, he set in motion a series of events that would take place.

Trump made a statement that for 20 years wavers on the Jerusalem act no president acted on it, refused to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, he now is changing US policy to recognizing the capital as Jerusalem. He stated this was due to every nation in the world has a right to determine their own capital, Israel has had their capital as Jerusalem since 1948, continues to be even now, the time of not recognizing it is over.

Since he did not sign the waiver for the Jerusalem Embassy Act, he sets in motion the intent of the law, moving the embassy to the capital of Israel!
