College Admission Scandal Exposes liberal hypocrisy
For the last ten plus years we have been barraged by constant lectures by the left, and their Hollywood followers on the evilness of White Privilege, but with the latest scandal we have learned that they seem to think this condemnation only applies to us common folk, if you are a liberal, or an actor or actress, then you are exempt from such condemnations. Thus the liberal hypocrisy is displayed for all.
We have been told that we have such “White Privilege” there is no redemption for us, we hear racist rants from the left, the first ones screaming about racism then turn totally racist themselves. Yet in a typical move, they don’t apply this to themselves, thus exposing their hypocrisy to all after being caught.
This was not contained to just one race, we found out liberals of all races were equal in this hypocrisy, seems like we are back in the “Don’t do as I do, only do as I say” liberal hypocrisy again.
Who were the people involved? To name just a few, Manuel Henriquez, CEO of Hercules Capital, Douglas Hodge, former chief operating officer of Pimco, actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin and Gordon Caplan, co-chairman of powerhouse international law firm Willkie Farr, all have in common? They were among 33 parents and nine athletic coaches across the country charged in a $25 million bribery scheme to get their kids into top colleges. Dubbed “Operation Varsity Blues,” it exposed a web of fraud, payouts, and bribes going back to 2011 up until just last month.
What is not surprising, but is rather sad, these people were feeling they were of such privilege, in many cases they did this with the full knowledge of their children, it seems they have passed on this to their children that they were above what they demanded of others. Seems this is passing on to the next generation, now wanting to be the only generation in this double standard, they are passing on their liberal hypocrisy to their children.
I need to qualify this though. I as a parent, more so as one of a child with special needs, I understand the feeling that a parent gets to do what they can to aid their child in getting every leg up they can in society, I try to do the same with my own, but to teach them that they are not beholding to the same morality we demand of others, what do you think you are teaching your children?
What is more, it is the money that was paid out, some parents paid out as much as $6.5 million to get their children into a top tier school. Even more, the schools, the very ones trying to attack anyone that does not share their liberal bias, they preach at us how we have no morals, but here we have these top schools
We have to wonder what this says about their morals, that they would take in between $15,000 and $25,000 to have their children’s entrance exams by others, the way they did this was to have the parents go to a therapist and have them send a letter their child needed extra time to take tests.
They also had coaches in the schools pretend these students were athletic students, gave scholarships to allow their children to attend the schools, went out and took fake sports pictures. When their children were admitted to school the parents would then send money, up to $1.5 million.
There is so much more here, but at this point, this is what we know at this time, unlike some of the major News sites, I will not speculate and later have to retract.
