Mexico And America Flip Flopping On Illegal Immigrants
Mexico has been yelling that the humanitarian crises of having thousands of illegal Immigrants on the American border are causing them problem’s, guess they forgot that they are the ones that allowed them in on their southern border and aided them in their trip to our border.
Trump yesterday released that he had worked out a deal with the incoming Mexican administration to hold the refugees on the Mexican side, America would give aid to help with the humanitarian needs, then the people would come into the US when their hearing date came up, would be seen, ruled on, then if they are given asylum would be allowed to stay, otherwise they would be returned to the border and kicked out right away.
Naturally, no sooner did the story break, then the incoming administration in Mexico said no such deal was in the works, now we are stuck with he said – she said moment, people are wondering what is going on.
There is a good way to settle this, would not cost us much, would cost Mexico a ton, but that really is not our problem, if they aren’t going to aid in stopping this, they are part of the problem, not part of the solution.
We need to start by closing all crossings. Let the Mexican Government know that we will suspend all trade agreements, all passings, stop all aid until they agree to take part in aiding to stem the flow of illegals coming up through their borders, and if they need help, considering the hundreds of millions we already give, could increase that, but not if they aren’t going to honor their end of the deal.
The ones that are coming up, they will then learn that they are unable to come into the US, disappear and melt into the background, as the many of them do now. We were in 2012 looking at a rate of 24% not showing up for their hearing, this was when Obama was in office, this rate grew under his watch to 43% in 2015, although the numbers dropped slightly in 2016 to 39%, although word now is showing 2017 should be slightly higher than in 2015, although there are no official records from that time, will report them when they are released.
I personally think putting up soldiers on the border, bringing in more border guards to aid in controlling entry is a great first step, but if Mexico is not going to aid on their end, why are we giving them anything?
