Moral Outrage Colored With Hypocrisy From Virginia And The Left

In the last week, we have seen Virginia go from a state where the governor and other state officials spoke to us in condemnation of other with a voice of moral outrage to now running for their lives as their own moral shortcomings are becoming exposed to all. The narrative of the left has switched, and done so without a moments notice.

So what happened? First, you had the governor of Virginia have a photo from his college year book come out with his page showing two people, one with a man in blackface, the other man in the photo standing next to this figure was dressed up in a KKK Robe.

The governor first came out and apologized for this, then came out and said that this was not him in the picture, then refused to step down. Meanwhile the Lieutenant Governor came out outraged, said the governor should step down, the states Attorney General also came out outraged, said the only way to deal with this was for the governor to step down.

Then bombshells hit, turns out the governor was not the only one with skeletons in his closet, and the face of the Democrats was exposed for all to see.

The next one up in this state was Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, while all this was going on, and his outrage was being voiced over what was in the yearbook almost 40 years ago, it turns out an accuser came out and said he had forced her to have sex with him during the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston.

Now we have heard from the Democrats during the Kavanaugh hearings, from #MeToo as well that a woman was always to be believed, so what is going on here? Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax claimed this was nothing but a smear, when confronted on this and asked about it, presidential candidate Coorey Booker said he had too much to do to pay attention to this, amazing, the man who in a moment of moral outrage lectured us on not listening to women is now to busy to do so?

And where are the calls for him to resign? Or does this only happen if you are white and a conservative? Turns out #MeToo has not said a thing, the Democrats are closing ranks around the Lt. Gov, one has to wonder, why the double standards?

Turns out the left has a habit of this, look at Farrakhan, Sarsour and their ignoring the racist, anti-semitic rants coming from them because they are democrats, but if a GOP member said anything like these are saying now forty years ago, we all know the entirety of the left would be screaming for their heads.

But we are not done yet, the states Attorney General Mark Herring, who came out in outrage over the Governor being caught wearing blackface, released a statement saying he should resign, then turned around a couple of days later and admitted to doing the same himself in the 1980s, yet not one word from him or other Democrats for him to resign, why is that?

And where are these people that were in capital heal, an activist like Alyssa Milano, she stood and said that all women should be given the shadow of a doubt, why hasn’t she said a word? Where is Pelosi, Schumer or the others? I know this is a state matter, but they said that women should be believed in every case, why are they so dismissive now?

Now, let me be blunt here, while I never worn blackface, I would never call for someone to resign over what they did 40 years ago, we all did stupid stuff as kids. And as I recall, we were in the middle of a Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Tina Turner putting out hits that everyone was crazy over.

Many dressed up like them for Halloween, people have done this for years, doing so was never intended as disrespect for them, or racist in any way, although I will admit I do have an issue with dressing up as a KKK Member, most people would have back then as well as today had issue with this. But if you are going to dress up like these people we admired, did they think we were going to dress up as a Jewish Michael Jackson? What about a Hispanic, Asian? Of course not, we would try to look like him, it was not racist, we were giving tribute to a star we admired, to attack for this is just stupid.

Also, in forty years people’s attitudes change, 40 years ago I was being raised in a rural area, had never met an African American, other than seeing them when you visited the big city for a day, to be frank, they were scary, we knew nothing about them, people always fear the unknown. But as I grew up I went into the military, had my first interactions with them, they were no longer scary, they were people just like the rest of us.

I remember growing up hearing racist jokes, sexist jokes as well, it is not something I am proud of, but that what people were doing back then, America was far more racist then than what they are now. I, like many others, grew up, this is what happens in life. People change, and the Democrats, of all people, should know this.

The left is so quick to say their people have changed, or in their terms, evolved, yet they are not willing to allow others to do so as well. They had a member of their party, Clinton, Obama, and others, they came out and spoke glowingly about him when he passed, Senator Robert Byrd, he was part of the KKK, but he said he “evolved,” as the Democrats are so willing to say, so they accepted this change, he was honored when he passed away by the Democrats.

They accept with their members that they may change, that is what they said when Obama said he changed his mind about gay marriage, why then are they not willing to give what they demand of others?
